2026-01-02

Filled with laughter and joy, the New Year celebration brought together students from all corners of the world. At this moment of new beginnings, we shared the same hope and anticipation for the year ahead.

On the occasion of the New Year, a vibrant cross-cultural celebration was held at IECB, where international students welcomed the arrival of the new year through Chinese language games, group dances, and other engaging activities.

The students’ lively and humorous self-introductions quickly bridged distances, creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere.

During team games, students were mixed into groups, fostering understanding and friendship through collaborative challenges, while experiencing firsthand the spirit of “harmony in diversity.”

Memorable Moments

In the exciting game sessions, the tense competition of musical chairs was met with bursts of laughter; the fast-paced word chain game tested participants’ quick thinking and cultural knowledge; the “Spy” game revealed clever deduction and expressive storytelling; and the word-generation challenge showcased the students’ impressive command of the Chinese language. Between games, an energetic group dance added to the festive atmosphere. To conclude the celebration, everyone—students and teachers alike—formed a long, winding dragon to the classic “Rabbit Dance” music, moving joyfully to the lively rhythm. The synchronized steps were filled with laughter and vitality, capturing the spirited and vibrant moments of the New Year celebration.

The New Year gathering not only brought the joy of the festival to students who had traveled far from home, but also provided a platform for meaningful interaction among students from diverse cultural backgrounds, fostering a harmonious and inclusive international campus atmosphere.
