On November 28th, the 2025 China National Textile and Apparel Council (CNTAC) Science and Technology Awards Conference was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, honoring the award-winning organizations and individuals of the year's China Textile Federation Science and Technology Awards.
A total of 21 scientific and technological achievements and individuals from Donghua university were recognized. As the primary completing institution, our university secured 2 first-prize winners of the Natural Science Award, 1 first-prize winner of the Technological Invention Award, and 2 first-prize winners of the Science and Technology Progress Award. Additionally, one individual received the Sangma Scholars Award. The university achieved a new high in the number of first prizes won as the lead unit, with awards spanning all four categories. Academicians Yu Jianyong, Zhu Meifang, and Sun Yize were invited to attend the awards ceremony and presented awards to the winners. Shen Bo, Director of the Institute of Scientific Research, along with representatives from the winning teams, also participated in the conference.

A total of 52 projects received the Natural Science Award, Technological Invention Award, and Science and Technology Progress Award from the 2025 CNTAC Science and Technology Awards, including 14 first prizes and 38 second prizes. Additionally, four individuals were honored with the Sangma Scholars Award. According to CNTAC, the selection process this year fully reflected the principle of ‘prioritizing quality and achieving excellence through quality.’ The winning projects exhibited four distinct characteristics: advanced technologies evolving from following to leading, a more solid and profound foundation in basic research, the formation of synergistic effects through industry-academia-research collaboration, and sustainable innovation demonstrating a commitment to responsible and ethical progress.
