On September 28, Donghua University received a delegation from Norwich University of the Arts (NUA), UK, led by its Provost, Ben Stopher. He was accompanied by He Mingye, Director of the International Office, and Qian Taotuoyu, Chief Representative of its China Office. The meeting was attended by Vice President Chen Ge, along with Sun Jie, Dean of the School of Fashion and Art Design, and Yang Shengyuan, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Office.
Vice President Chen Ge introduced Donghua University's disciplinary strengths and future development plans. He highlighted the existing collaboration between DHU and UK universities, particularly the achievements in Sino-foreign cooperative education. He stated that NUA's visit and its participation in the WDCC 2025 Technology and Fashion Think Tank Forum, hosted by Donghua University, fully demonstrates a shared commitment to the forefront of international design and industry integration. He added that this visit lays a solid foundation for future collaboration between the two institutions.
Provost Ben Stopher outlined the distinctive educational features and developmental advantages of NUA. He expressed that in the context of the global digital and intelligent era, both universities share a broad consensus on cultivating interdisciplinary talents with international vision and innovative capabilities. He conveyed his hope to further expand practical cooperation in areas such as faculty and student exchanges and joint scientific research.
