Also present were Yan Linping, Vice President of our university, along with heads of relevant departments and schools, as well as over 180 representatives from industry associations and enterprises.
Liu Chenggong congratulated the Shanghai Fashion Association on its 40th anniversary. He emphasized the university's consistent commitment to serving national strategies and regional socioeconomic development, highlighting its efforts in gathering innovative elements around ‘Haipai Fashion’ to advance industry-academia-research integration. The university looks forward to deepening collaboration with partners across the Yangtze River Delta region in fields such as fashion design, industrial innovation, and talent cultivation, aiming to contribute more substantially to high-quality economic growth and foster new qualitative cultural productive forces.

Over the past four decades, the Shanghai Fashion Association has achieved remarkable accomplishments in organizational development, professional expansion, and project advancement. Recognized as a “4A-level Social Organization,” it has established a professional talent network spanning specialized sectors and a comprehensive industry-academia-research support system. Collaborating with institutions including our university, the association has successfully launched multiple benchmark projects such as “Shanghai-style Business Cheongsam” and “Shanghai-style Menswear.” During the event, honorary awards were presented to the Society's founding president, Ms. Tan Fuyun, along with several former leaders and secretaries-general. Additionally, authoritative publications including the 2026 Global Socks Market Blue Book and the 2026 International Knitwear Accessories Trend Report were released.

The event also featured the ‘5E & CANSNE Glimmer Balance • Digital Awakening’ fashion show, jointly created by our university's Shanghai International Fashion Science and Innovation Center, CANSNE Group, and Cixing Co., Ltd. The showcase presented spring/summer knitwear collections utilizing over 20 innovative yarn materials including hemp, paper yarn, and silk-cashmere blends. Through cutting-edge textile technologies and forward-looking design language, the exhibition interpreted the infinite possibilities of deep integration among ‘culture, fashion, technology, and brands’ in the digital era.
