The afternoon event commenced at the Cixing (Shanghai) R&D Center. Donghua•Cixing Knitwear Fashion Academy and Cixing (Shanghai) Technology Co., Ltd. jointly unveiled the ‘2026 Global Knitwear Market Blue Book’ and ‘2026/2027 International Knitwear Fashion Trends.’ This release not only provided the knitwear industry with a comprehensive analysis of future market development and cutting-edge trend insights but also fully demonstrated our university's academic empowerment and forward-looking research capabilities in the fashion field.
The 2026/2027 5E&CV HengYue • XinXiang Autumn/Winter Knitwear Fashion Show dazzled at the cultural landmark Panlong Tiandi. This spectacular event was jointly conceived and presented by our university's Shanghai International Fashion Innovation Center and Cixing (Shanghai) R&D Center. The runway collection drew its core inspiration from the elements of metal, wood, water, fire, and earth, interpreting the primordial language of the Five Elements universe that decodes the laws governing all things. The entire show unfolded across five chapters, delivering a fascinating presentation of contemporary Shanghai fashion culture while offering a fresh interpretation of Shanghai-style New Chinese clothing. The designs deeply integrated knit craftsmanship with the explicit design language of Five Elements mathematical philosophy, giving birth to a new knit aesthetic that balances rationality and sensibility, endowing knit design with boundless creativity and possibilities.
The successful hosting of this series of events exemplifies the dynamic integration of industry, academia, and research. Moving forward, the Shanghai International Fashion Innovation Center will continue to collaborate with leading industry partners to inject greater wisdom and vitality into the sustainable development of the fashion industry.
