On June 7, the Third Forum on Digital Communication and Innovative Development of Intangible Cultural Heritage with the theme of ‘Digital Intelligence Inheritance - Cultural Co-prosperity’ was held on the Yan'an Road Campus of DongHua University. Famous scholars in related fields, representatives of science and technology enterprises and national-level intangible heredity bearers gathered together to discuss the collaborative innovation path of digital intelligence empowering the protection and inheritance of intangible heritage. Liu Chenggong welcomed the guests and introduced the school's intangible cultural heritage inheritance and innovation work. At the forum, the innovative fusion of non-heritage skills and modern technology was demonstrated in the form of ‘ShuZhi NiChang - FeiYi Huacai’ digital fashion virtual and real show. Sun Jie, dean of the College of Fashion and Art Design, led the creative team to release the ‘Digital Intelligence Inheritance - Cultural Co-prosperity’ theme LOGO design. Xu Huiping, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Fudan University Press, and Xue Ke, Associate Dean of the College of Cultural and Creative Industries of Shanghai Jiaotong University and University of Southern California (USC), jointly released the ‘Classical Case Study Report on Digital Communication of China's Intangible Cultural Heritage’ and presented the book to the university. Experts and scholars from Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shandong University, Donghua University, Shanghai Textile and Clothing Museum, Lindi Technology and a number of national-level intangible cultural heritage bearers discussed intangible cultural heritage protection and inheritance and digital empowerment from different perspectives. Principals of editorial office of Modern Communication, Journal of Zhengzhou University, Telematics and Informatics Reports and other academic journals at home and abroad started a conversation around ‘innovative academic thinking and academic expression of non-legacy research’.

Organized by Donghua University in cooperation with Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Northwestern Polytechnical University, this forum focuses on the synergistic mode of ‘technology + culture + design + industry’, highlights the role of design as a bridge connecting science and technology, culture and market.
