On the afternoon of May 23rd, the ‘Shang He Zhi Yue, Jin Cai Guo Ji’ Chinese dress culture festival was opened in the dynamic exhibition hall of Art College of the university, which was co-sponsored by the university and Tianjin Etiquette Industry Association, and co-organized by Hohhot College of Ethnic Minorities, WumaRoad Primary School of Nankai District of Tianjin and Rongcheng Group. More than 200 teachers and students from more than 30 countries, including China, Russia, India and Kazakhstan, gathered together and danced to express their love, sang as a medium, and carried the way in clothes to draw a new scroll of cultural integration.

The exhibition opened with the costume performance of ‘Tian Gong Zhi Yun’. The Institute of Chinese Traditional Clothing and Garments of Tiangong University, dedicated to ‘creating a wearable culture’, skillfully weaved the aesthetics of the silhouette of Tianjin's landmark buildings, the cultural symbols of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), as well as elements such as the koi carp leaping over the waves of the Yangliuqing New Year's Paintings, the bamboo bones of kite Wei, and the natural lagenaria of Hululu into the warp and weft of the clothes. These wear on the body of the ‘cultural code’ so that the Russian students Marina could not help but sigh: "These are not only clothes, but also civilization mutual understanding of the ‘kaleidoscope’, each line is telling the story of Tianjin, China." The music team from Hohhot Institute of Nationalities fused traditional Mongolian non-legacy instruments with electro-acoustic elements to reconstruct the vastness of the grassland epic “WanLi”, and the digital sound effects intertwined with the traditional huomai to create a dialog across time and space.

The “Silk Road Passage” jointly created by our university and Hohhot Institute of Nationalities, with the millennium tea vein as the warp and woof, will be the Chinese tea plucking dance of the cloud hand back to the ring, the Kandy Dance of the bright drums, the milking dance of the ground to create the wind, casting into a flowing civilization of the epic. When the dancers hold a ‘HeHe Tea’ to the audience, this cultural tea across the mountains and the sea is not only saturated with memories of the grit of the Silk Road on land, but also boils with the fire of the era of civilization exchanges and mutual understanding. “Let's meet in another 20 years, great China, how beautiful it should be ......” When students from SCO countries and Chinese students sang “Young Friends Come to Meet” together in Chinese, Russian and English, it showed the young students' poetic understanding of the community of human destiny. community, demonstrating young students' poetic understanding of human destiny.

The performance was a complete success! What we witnessed was not only the innovation of art forms, but also the natural growth of the gene of mutual understanding of civilizations in the youth groups." Jiang Yaming, Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office and Dean of the College of International Education, said that the event aimed to build resonance between Chinese and foreign youths in creativity through youthful and co-creative cultural experiences, so that the seeds of mutual understanding of civilizations can be deeply planted in the hearts of the new generation of young student.
