According to the information, the China Science Journal Excellence Action Plan Phase II project (2024-2028) was jointly decided and implemented by 7 departments including the China Association for Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Finance, the National Press and Publication Administration, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Chinese Academy of Engineering. It set up 5 sub-projects including single-language English journals, single-language Chinese journals, high-starting point new journals, high-level journal operation talent cultivation, and cluster (group) pilot programs, with an implementation period of 5 years. This project is China's largest, most funded, and most extensive special support program for the development of scientific journals.
