On June 22, the Nationwide Urban Renewal and Beautiful Town Construction Standardized Pilot project in Qibao Town, led by Professor Bao Shidu from the Environmental Art Design Research Institute of Donghua University (referred to as the Environmental Art Institute) and supported by standardized technical backing, passed the acceptance review by the National Project Management Standardization Technical Committee, earning a 5A rating (the highest level). The review was attended by Yu Biao, Secretary-General of the National Project Management Standardization Technical Committee, Ke Xiaolin, Deputy District Mayor of Minhang District, Li Yingping, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Minhang District Green and Environmental Bureau, Yang Weiping, Secretary of the Qibao Town Party Committee, Bao Shidu, Dean of the Environmental Art Institute at Donghua University, and other relevant department leaders.

The expert group unanimously agreed that this pilot project has good promotability and replicability for implementing the national Beautiful China strategy. It provides a standard basis for regulating beautiful town construction and enhancing project management levels, contributing to the high-quality development of beautiful towns in China. The pilot project innovatively introduced standardized project management models, technologies, methods, and tools into town construction and operation, achieving innovations in project management standards, technologies, and models. It explored new standards, systems, fields, paths, tools, and effects for beautiful town construction project management. Through the development and implementation of group standards, it filled the gap in the domestic standardization of beautiful town construction project management, achieving technological, methodological, and tool innovations in the field. The pilot project created the Qibao Model for urban renewal and beautiful town project management, strongly promoting comprehensive high-quality development in Qibao Town's economic growth, business environment, and social governance, providing a benchmark case that can be referenced and replicated for standardized project management work.

It is reported that the project lasted for two years, continuously optimizing design, aligning with international and national standards, and implementing refined construction. The most noticeable change is on Wuzhong Road in Qibao. Donghua University's unique six-character policy, three-line system, and standardized, intelligent, digital, and ecological system design innovation model have given Wuzhong Road a completely new look, resembling an international urban boulevard. The success of the pilot not only brought a beautiful transformation to Qibao Town but also provided new ideas and methods for urban renewal and beautiful town construction in China. Our school will continue to play a demonstrative and leading role in the field of urban renewal, offering more Donghua solutions for the construction of a Beautiful China.
