2022 International Conference on Biomedical Textile Materials Held

2022-12-06

On December 3-4, the 2022 International Conference on Biomedical Textile Materials (2022 MedTex&IFBMTM) was held by DHU in collaboration with North Carolina State University, Université Laval, Zhejiang Sci-Tech University and China Nonwovens and Industrial Textiles Association Medical and Health Branch. It is the 14th time for DHU to host the serial International Conference on Biomedical Textile Materials. More than 200 experts and scholars from home and abroad in textile, biology, material, medicine and other related fields were invited to attend the conference themed with “Medical Engineering Integration and Innovation – Serve Life and Health”. Five conference reports, seven invited talks and seven keynote speeches in the "Medical Engineering Forum" were presented, sharing research results and clinical experiences with the participants.

In the conference reports and invited talks, experts and scholars from DHU, the University of Pittsburgh, the Ajou University, the Pennsylvania State University and the Université Laval, explored the potential of new generation of biomedical textile materials and their core technologies in tissue regeneration, disease diagnosis and treatment, medical interface construction and other applications. They strived to overcome research difficulties and promoted the transformation of scientific research results into practical clinical applications. In the Medical Engineering Forum, experts and scholars discussed ways of medical engineering integration and established an innovation chain combining industry, university, research, and medine. Besides, they created new paths of collaborative innovation in medical engineering and inter-disciplinary talent cultivation, thus promoting the transformation and upgrading of biomedical textiles from mid-low end to high-end products with high added value.
