Asia Network Beyond Design (ANBD), founded in 2007, is a design art exhibition jointly constructed by many countries and regions in Asia, with the main purpose of “Asia·Cooperation·Beyond·Innovation”. It is dedicated to show the life and cultural features of Asian people and carry out cooperation and exchanges in various fields of education, business and society. This new exhibition mode promotes the exchange of ideas in various regions of Asia, takes the design philosophy to a higher level, and paves the way for the development of design industry in Asia.

Since 2008, ANBD has exhibited different works with the same theme in four Asian cities every year. This year’s exhibitions were held in Shanghai, Taipei, Seoul and Bangkok with the theme of “Voice of Asia”, through which 852 works from 213 artists from more than 10 countries and regions in Asia were collected. These artists broke away from the traditional thinking and exhibition mode, interpreted the theme with a new perspective and fashion dimension, then created an extraordinary visual feast for the audiences.

Different from traditional exhibitions, this exhibition sorted the works by types and styles, which not only brought an artistic design visual experience, but also gave the audiences a real artistic experience by an immersive VR mode. By playing the VR virtual graffiti game, the audiences truly participated in the process of art design, created what they want, and bravely made a personalized “Voice of Asia”.

Four check-in landmarks of Shanghai, Taipei, Seoul, and Bangkok were also set up in the exhibition hall, showing style and features of these different cities through regional elements. Then everyone could have an interactive experience and show off their personalized style with ANBD. Finally, there was a co-creation wall at one side of the exhibition hall, which allows the audiences to actively participate in the activity and become one of the exhibition creators. They could convey their real voices to ANBD by writing their names, words or make graffiti in the blank spaces.
