As the capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent is the second largest city in Central Asia, as well as the national economic, cultural and transportation center.



The city’s industry is dominated by agricultural machineryand textile machinery, while food and textile sectors are also important. At the same time, Tashkent is the largest transportation hub in Central Asia, with railways to Moscow, Novosibirsk and other places, and international airports to countries in South Asia. 



Founded in 1932, Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry is a non-profit public higher education institution, located in the largest city of Tashkent.


 


As a member of the International Textile Institute, the International Printing Education Association and the International Silk Association, the Institute has established fruitful partnerships with these leading institutions.



The Institute is one of the first educational institutes of the Republic and the only Textile Institute in Central Asia. With the rapid development of textile, light, and printing industries, the Institute is full of confidence about the potential of future development.
